This Privacy Policy applies only to your use of Our Site and training services. Our Site may contain links to other websites. Please note that We have no control over how your data is collected, stored, or used by other websites and We advise you to check the privacy policies of any such websites before providing any data to them.

5.1 Subject to sections 5.2 and 5.3, We do not collect any personal data from you.

5.3 If you send Us an email or submit a Course Booking Form as defined above, We may collect your name, your email address, and any other information which you choose to give Us.

5.4 In respect of those email addresses and personal data held on our systems both pre and post 25th May 2018, where processing data is considered necessary for the purpose of legitimate interests pursued by Us, then for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the introduction of EU Regulation 2016/679 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) We will rely on Lawfulness of Processing Conditions, Article 6(1)(f), subject as follows:

a). We use the information we hold purely for the purposes of continuing to advise individuals and Organisations on our mailing list of Courses and Continuing Professional Development workshops, all of which are pertinent to their Professional standing as practitioners of Psychotherapy and Counselling. In this respect We consider that retaining email addresses and personal contact details will have minimal impact on privacy and the individuals and Organisations would not be surprised or likely to object. Under no circumstances will any data be released to third parties. All email communication will grant the recipient the option to remove their contact information from our mailing list, which action will always be implemented and acknowledged.

b). All individuals and Organisations listed within our database, namely database subscribers (data subjects) are required by their professional Body to complete Continuing Professional Development training and / or individually decide to pursue post qualification training. It is reasonable to regard this requirement as a necessity of their professional standing. It is also reasonable to recognise that there is legitimate interest, both for the individual database subscribers and for the organisations, to retain each database subscriber’s membership details within the email database.

c). The processing We undertake is regarded as a targeted and proportionate way of achieving the purpose for which We were established, namely the promotion of training and professional development within the Counselling and Psychotherapy professions. We have no other mechanism with which to provide the information to the data subjects.

6. How Do We Use Your Data?

6.1 If We do collect any personal data, it will be processed and stored securely, for no longer than is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was first collected. We will comply with Our obligations and safeguard your rights under the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR at all times. For more details on security see section 7, below.

6.2 As noted above, We do not generally collect any personal data. However, if you contact Us and We obtain your personal details from your email or a Course Booking Form, We may use them as follows:

6.2.1 To reply to your email or enquiry presented on a Course Booking Form.

6.2.2 To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you

6.2.3 To ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you

6.2.4 To notify you about changes to our service

6.2.5 To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and Us.

6.3 Any and all emails and any Course Booking Form containing your personal data will be retained in accordance with the policy set out in our Data Retention Policy, Clause 7

6.4 You have the right to withdraw your consent to Us using your personal data at any time, and to request that We delete it.

6.5 We will not share any of your data with any third parties for any purposes.

7. How and Where Do We Store Your Data?

7.1 We only keep your personal data for as long as We need to in order to use it as described above in section 6, and/or for as long as We have your permission to keep it.

7.2 Your data will only be stored in the UK.

7.3 Data security is very important to Us, and to protect your data we have taken suitable measures to safeguard and secure any data We hold about you (even if it is only your email address)

7.4 Where We have given you a User Name and Password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping the password confidential. We expect you not to share a User Name and Password with anyone (see Use of Website Terms and Conditions Clause 11.1.5; effective 25th May 2018).

You have the right to ask for a copy of any of your personal data held by Us (where such data is held).
