Surrey Counselling Training Course Programmes are delivered by experienced and highly qualified trainers and presenters.

Surrey Counselling Training Tutors are all practising counsellors with a wide variety of experience and training. The present tutor team includes:

Martyn Lloyd MBACP Senior Accredited Counsellor. Martyn has a Diploma in Group Counselling from the Westminster Pastoral Foundation, a Post-graduate Diploma in Counselling (Integrative) from the University of East London and a Post-graduate Certificate in CBT from Leicester University. In 1998 Martyn trained with Steve de Shazer, Insoo Kim Berg and colleagues at the Brief Family Therapy Center in Milwaukee, USA and was a founder member of the United Kingdom Association for Solution Focused Practice. Martyn has extensive experience as a counsellor, counselling supervisor, trainer and manager of counselling services.

Pat Simpson MBACP Senior Accredited Counsellor, UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor, MBACP Senior Accredited Individual Supervisor, PG Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, Diploma in Hypnotherapy & NLP, Certificate in CBT, Diploma in Individual and Group Supervision. Pat has tutored various courses, including the Foundation Degree in Humanistic Counselling at Guildford College, and CPD workshops and has recently been recruited by BACP to supervise NHS counsellors in training on a course commissioned by the Department of Health.

Janet Stephen MBACP Senior Accredited Counsellor, BA (Hons), UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor, Diploma in Counselling, Diploma in Supervision, Cert. Couples Counselling, PGCE. Janet has wide experience of teaching counselling up to BA Degree level, having delivered courses with Alton and Farnborough Colleges and Guildford College.Janet has many years counselling experience and runs a private practice in Farnham offering Counselling to individuals and couples, Supervision to individuals and groups and Student Mentoring.

John Wheeler MBACP Senior Accredited Counsellor, UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor, MBACP Senior Accredited Individual & Group Supervisor, FDAP Accredited Drug and Alcohol Professional Member, BSc (Hons) in Substance Misuse Studies, Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, Diploma in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Diploma in Individual and Group Supervision, Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Adult). John currently practices as Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor and has nearly 20 years experience in both private practice and various Clinical Settings. Developing and delivering courses up to BA Hons level, John has taught in the commercial, voluntary and educational sectors for the past 30 years.
