Applicants will need to have successfully gained a Level 2 Helping Skills Award (or equivelant) prior to embarking on this course.
The course will explore the Humanistic, Psychodynamic & CBT theoretical frameworks.
Course content will include a review of Legal issues as they relate to the use of Counselling Skills, BACP Ethical Framework, Theories of Loss, Equal Opportunities and Disability issues.
The course gives a sound preparation for students who wish to progress to Foundation Degree or Diploma Level Counselling courses.
The Award provides a valuable qualification for anyone working in the helping professions, including teaching and education, nursing, health sector, police force, fire service, ambulance service and social services.
